Texas Senate bills target nutrition standards in public schools, grocery stores

Senate Bill 314 would ban certain food additives from free and reduced-price meals served in public schools. Senate Bill 25 proposes requiring students to take nutrition classes beginning in high school and directing food manufacturers to label products containing certain ingredients.
