Texas House bill seeks to incentivize teacher certification, raise school funding

House Bill 2, by Rep. Brad Buckley, R-Salado, proposes boosting base school funding by $220 and creating a new state allotment to help school districts pay prospective teachers who complete classroom residency programs.
