What Houston voters need to know about voter registration before the Oct. 7 deadline

Texans will have until Oct. 7 to register to vote for the general election Nov. 5. Eligible voters in Texas will get a chance to vote for county, state and federal races.  Early voting will run from Oct. 21 to Nov. 1.
