Texans urge State Board of Education to slow rewrite of K-12 social studies standards

Several educators involved in drafting the new curriculum plan said they did not have enough time to thoroughly review the proposed standards and make changes. The State Board of Education is scheduled to approve new social studies standards this summer before they are rolled out to classrooms in 2030.
