Houston wants to ban electric scooter use in downtown areas

Houston officials are proposing a new ordinance that would prohibit the use of electric scooters in the Midtown, Downtown and East Downtown areas of the city, citing a rise in accidents and fatalities in recent years, according to a July 24 Quality of Life Committee meeting.
